Fred Tamale, 13, is currently in primary six at Bishop’s Central Primary school. Fred has one brother, Geoffrey Kigundu, with whom they live at Kauga village –Mukono with their sickly father, Zaali, who is down due to HIV/AIDS. Fred said: “because I’m older than Geoffrey, I’ve started getting worried that Dad is about to die.” “He is ever sick and has lost weight.” “I don’t know where my mother went, and Geoffrey and I miss her tender care and love.” “I’m very worried of the future where calamity will force me into family leadership.” “Before my father got sick, I could get all my requirements in time but it is no longer the case.”  “

Basing on his academic records, Fred is a bright student. Fred explained:” I’m sure that I can perform a lot better than can be seen in my current report cards, if I got sponsorship so that I attend school regularly.” ”My ambition is to become a medical doctor.” “To change my life for the better, I’m requesting for an education sponsorship because my father is unable to continue paying my fees.”
