There are a good number of poor people in the rural areas of Uganda. Their lack of income and access to other resources means that they can't access the basics of life like food, good health care, education and housing. The extent and severity of global poverty are directly linked to economic policies and the setting in their areas. Where an effort has been made to organize and give them support, tremendous improvements have resulted.
Aware of the above FINIDP undertakes initiatives to ensure food security and sustainable incomes for the target communities by offering training programmes in modern and sustainable agricultural practices.
We carry out market surveys and train farmers in marketing of agricultural produce. We support small-scale income generating projects such as livestock revolving projects where - poultry, piggery, goat and sheep rearing are promoted |
