For the past three years, FINIDP has partnered with Orphans Against AIDS (www.orphansagainstaids.org), Alliance Africa (www.allianceafrica.org), Hope for Africa and Sigma Chai to give scholarships to children who have been orphaned by AIDS, other diseases and natural calamities. In our education projects, FINIDP provides counselling, career guidance, and educational awareness about HIV/AIDS and reproductive health, and the sponsors or development partners cover the costs of school fees, books, uniforms, shoes, lunch, and school materials. Without these scholarships, many of these children could not go to school. Currently the children are sponsored under three separate projects namely:-

The Aids Orphans Secondary Education Support Project (AOSESP) supported by Orphans Against AIDS and benefiting 24 students in a couple of Secondary schools.

The Integrated Project
To support the education projects, Northside Baptist Church (USA) funded an integrated project in which:-

- FINIDP acquired a motorbike (“bodaboda”) for her field staffs

- Seven (7) bicycles were procured and given out to 8 students who previously walked long distances to and from school.

- Bought text books for FINIDP –affiliated students, who are mainly orphans studying in various day schools in Mukono district

- Bought paraffin for the needy students who couldn’t afford to revise their books at night due to failure to afford paraffin-lit candle

- Bought goats to increase the number of beneficiaries under the Nama Livestock for Livelihood Revolving Project
